Initially intended as a woman’s drink, the original was created by Ngiam Tong Boon, a bartender at Raffles Hotel, Singapore (1915). Now very popular and enjoyed by all, it was a favorite of the actor Douglas Fairbanks. One sip and you will know why.
Ready
- ⅔ oz gin
- ⅔ oz cherry brandy
- ⅓ oz Cointreau
- ⅓ oz Benedictine
- ⅓ oz fresh lime juice
- 2 ½ oz fresh orange juice
- 2 ½ oz pineapple juice
- Maraschino cherries
- Pineapple slices for garnish
Set
- Highball glass
- Shaker
Go
- Place all ingredients in shaker.
- Shake and strain into glass.
- Garnish with pineapple slice, cherry and straw.
