To make your own baking powder simply mix: ¼ tsp baking soda ¼ tsp cornstarch ½ tsp cream of tartar. Mix Yields: 1 tsp double-acting baking powder

To test Combine ¼ tsp baking soda with 2 tsp vinegar. If mixture bubbles, it is good to use.
